Located in the northwest shore of the Taihu Lake, the Turtle-Head Peninsula gets its name for its huge rocks extending into the lake, looking like a turtle raising its head. It is endowed by nature with green hills and clear water. It is considered to be the best part on the Taihu Lake and the best place to enjoy the natural beauty of the Taihu Lake.

First built in 1918, the Turtle-Head Peninsula Park presently covers an area of 500 hectares, consisting of many attractions like the Chongshan Hill, the Turtle-Head Spot, Hengyun Villa, Taihu Fairy Islands, Jiangnan Orchid Garden and Sino-Japanese Friendship Oriental Cherry Plantation.

Lingshan Scenic Spot is made up of two main attractions, the Lingshan Buddha and the bathing ceremony.

Located in the Little Lingshan area south of Qinlue Peak of Mashan Hill, the Lingshan Buddha is at the former site of the famous Xiangfu Temple in the Tang and Song Dynasties. With the renovation of Xiangfu Temple, a bronze Sakyamuni statue with a height of eighty-eight meters was also built. The Buddha statue is named Lishan Buddha after its location, Little Lingshan Hill.

Building the Lingshan Buddha was the biggest event in the history of Buddhism in China in one hundred years. Meanwhile, this Buddha has become one of the symbols of Wuxi.
